Heading into my second year of business, I feel more confident, more grounded, and more myself in this little venture than I have in a long time. I\u2019m not claiming to have cracked the code or discovered the \u201cright\u201d way to do things. But I have found a way that feels right for me and that\u2019s something I\u2019m proud of.<\/p>
My ethos remains the same: kindness, honesty, humour, and heart. With every design, every message, every connection, my vision grows clearer. Quietly in the background I\u2019m learning new skills, building something that feels sustainable and true. And perhaps most importantly, I care more than ever. about the work, the people it reaches, and the version of me it\u2019s helping to rebuild.<\/p>
This business has given me back a part of myself. The businesswoman. The creative. The person who once succeeded, then stepped away to become something else entirely for someone who needed me more. That was a privilege, and it still is. But what a joy it is to return to myself, piece by piece.<\/p>
I\u2019ve said it before and I\u2019ll say it again: the people you expect to cheer you on often don\u2019t. And yes, that still stings. But the shining exception is my big sister, my biggest fan, who never stopped believing in me, even when I wasn\u2019t sure I believed in myself.<\/p>
And then there are the strangers. The ones who champion your small business like it\u2019s their own. Their support is rare, and it means the world.<\/p>
Here\u2019s what I\u2019ve learned:<\/p>
\u2022 Don\u2019t wait for the crowd. Build anyway. The applause might come later, or not at all, but creating something true to you is always worth it.<\/p>
\u2022 Support the small businesses you love. A kind word or share goes further than you think.<\/p>
\u2022 Celebrate the quiet wins; they\u2019re often the foundation of bigger successes.<\/p>
\u2022 Remember: sustainability isn\u2019t just about products, it\u2019s about people building something that lasts.<\/p>
\u2022 If you believe in someone\u2019s work, tell them. That encouragement can change their whole day.<\/p>
